In the back, there's even a tall table skewered with aspen trunks. And with saloon doors, chalkboard walls and vintage tile, the bathroom area has undergone an impressive makeover.

But the pop-up like There, by the Beverage Director of Nobu 57, pulls it off, in no small part because of the two charismatic bartenders who are the small room's workhorses, entertainers, and maitre d's. There may be better food in town, but there's no place you'd rather be.

The eclectic setting pairs iron saddle bar seats, pressed tin ceilings, and decorative cartography with a drinks menu devoted largely to sweet jam cocktails.
